With a mission to provide a positive global healthcare impact PolyUnity was founded by three Canadian medical doctors in 2018.
PolyUnity was founded by three medical students (now doctors) who conducted significant exploratory and applied research into the use of 3D Printing / additive manufacturing (AM) for the healthcare sector. The three PolyUnity founders were also founding members of the MUNMed3D Network which was planned and deployed as part of their research in medical school. Their research included sending printers to several remote medical locations and providing educational sessions on their use of 3Dprinting to physicians in NL to produce parts and monitor uptake and idea generation. The concept of transferring/remotely accessing digital inventory and conducting localized product manufacturing was validated by physicians
